Purpose: The Systems Administrator, in coordination with the Network Administrator, provides administration, technical assistance, problem resolution, and support services related to maintaining the availability, integrity, and security of the district's data centers, servers, cloud resources, end user devices, and application deployments. The Systems Administrator, under the direction of the Technology Director, shares responsibility for incident-based end user support, and handling of escalated support for technology systems, devices, applications, and training.
Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and/or equivalent demonstrated technology experience or certifications as determined by the Technology Director. CompTIA, Microsoft, VMware, and other industry certifications will be considered.
- Ability to assist with maintaining and troubleshooting enterprise environment technology across MAISD and participating LEA districts including firewall, router, network switching, fiber, and other connectivity. Experience with Fortinet and HPE/Aruba products is preferred.
- Ability to install, configure and maintain Microsoft Azure and Microsoft System Center (SCCM) for deploying, patching, and controlling current Microsoft Windows operating systems across MAISD and LEA enterprise environments.
- Ability to install, configure, test, and monitor data backup, endpoint protection, and cybersecurity protection measures for the purpose of securing MAISD systems and data. Experience with VEEAM and Synology environments are preferred.
- Ability to install, configure, and maintain servers and resources running in a virtualized environment including associated client networking administration for wired and wireless devices. Experience with VMWare, Microsoft HyperV, Microsoft Windows Server, and Powerschool preferred.
- Ability to manage Microsoft Azure AD and Google Workplace environments and integration including GAPS, GAM, scripting, including Microsoft and Chrome device administration.
- Ability to install, configure, and maintain single sign on (SSO) integrations for unified secured access to on premise systems and cloud resources.
- Experience with Windows PowerShell scripting and HTML programming preferred.
- Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work independently and among teams to manage time and tasks efficiently.
- Ability to travel between assigned work sites and perform in diverse work areas including occasional lifting and climbing ladders.
- Have no physical or mental restrictions that would, without reasonable accommodation, prevent performance of the essential job functions and responsibilities.
