Requirements:What You’ll Be Doing (We don’t love the bullet points, but we love the work!)
Your role will include being tapped into for providing network management and systems administration to maintain the High Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure and HPC development environment.
You will get to work with cutting edge systems which might include (but are likely not limited to) processing intensive analytics (remember, this is HPC), novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets (again, HPC!), real-time systems, business management information systems, and systems which incorporate data repositories, data transport services, and application and systems development and monitoring. All being critical to the success of the customer and the overall mission at large.
Required Skills
– Experience using the Linux CLI
– Ability to write scripts using Bash/Python
– Experience performing installation, configuration, and support of software, packages, and libraries in a Linux and Windows environment
– Experience with Network Appliance clustered servers and applicable software with direct attached FC San storage
– Experience using Red Hat Satellite to automate the deployment, provisioning, and patching of REL Linux systems across physical, virtual, and cloud environments
– Experience with hands-on troubleshooting, customer interfacing, issue resolution, discrepancy tracking, and report generation
– Familiar with data analysis platforms used for searching, and analyzing big data e.g., Splunk, Elastic Stack
– Experience with Linux configuration regarding Storage, Networking, Load Balancing, Memory Management, VMs, Firewalls, and System Monitoring
– Experience with corporate STE/STN security compliance policies, procedures, and tools
– Experience with corporate Security posture, accreditation for an SSP including mitigating IAVAs and POAMs
– Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools e.g., Ansible and SaltStack
Qualifications
– (15) years’ experience as a Systems Administrator
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline (substitutions allowed)
– CompTIA Security+ certification
