Job Description
The System Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of servers, storage systems, and network devices. The System Administrator has strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
System Administrator duties include but are not limited to:
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage systems and network devices
- Maintain and monitor system backups and disaster recovery plans
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network issues
- Ensure system security by implementing and maintaining access controls, firewalls, and other security measures
- Monitor system performance and take necessary actions to ensure high availability and optimal performance
- Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations, procedures and policies

Requirements for Systems Administrators:
- Understanding of basic systems structures and how to maintain
- Knowledge of Active Directory and GPO
- Knowledge of good security basics
- Experience with server operating systems such as Windows Server and Linux
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper- V
- Familiarity with network protocols and topologies, firewalls and network security
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery procedures
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
