System Administrator - Hybrid

Our Location:

Our Seattle Fulfillment Center (SFC) is located in the heart of the Ikea Commercial District where we have 200,000 square feet of state of the art production and inventory. We maximize our facility with two shifts of production, five days per week. We enjoy a culturally diverse workforce and promote team orientated solutions to delight our customers.

Job Vision: We are searching for a dedicated, experienced, energetic individual to join our expanding team in Information Technology. This role will ensure system administration needs of the business are met by bringing outstanding technical experience with great communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and patience.

This position will be hybrid with both work from home and onsite in our Renton, WA location, as required. Work will be primarily performed from home and work from the office/co-location as projects and support needs dictate on a nonrecurring basis.

Job Summary and Essential Functions:

This position, reporting to the Director of IT Infrastructure, will be a member of a team that is responsible for designing, supporting, and maintaining the organization’s IT Infrastructure in the US and Canada. This includes supporting server, client, cloud, network, and application platforms to ensure optimal performance and uptime. This role will participate in centralized IT duties to support multiple companies across North America (United States & Canada) as part of Cutter & Buck’s parent company, NewWave Group. Minimal travel may be required for support efforts of large scale projects at locations in US or CA.

Essential Functions:

• Management of Active Directory/M365/Azure including, but not limited to, user accounts, security groups, e-mail accounts, distribution groups, hybrid Exchange, MFA, Security Policies, printers, Group Policy, OneDrive, Intune, and Autopilot. Administration of multiple tenants, migrations, and tenant consolidations.
• Administration of Windows/Linux, physical, virtual (VMware and Azure) servers (previous experience with Azure Server Instances required), in hybrid on-premise and cloud environments.
• Participate in network administration on Cisco, Meraki, and Palo Alto platforms with the team.
• Perform Patch Management as part of a rotation on a recurring cycle for server, appliance, and end point devices. Test and deploy to ensure compatibility and executed successfully on all in scope items.
• Participate in support of backup and recovery platforms with the team. Contribute with recovery testing and automation.
• Support end point protection platforms to ensure security components are current and business digital assets are in compliance.
• Contribute by providing internal business support by resolving escalated support requests and escalating, with appropriate details, to other IT teams.
• Install, update, and administer 3rd Party Server applications as well as Infrastructure management tools as needed.
• Proactively monitors server/network components, via business management and monitoring platforms. Ensure monitoring platforms are current and configure automated actions for recovery.
• Create new and update existing documentation on deployment and installation procedures for business hardware and software platforms.
• Participate in execution of after-hours projects and maintenance as business needs require and on-call if needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years IT experience as a Systems Administrator with a focus on infrastructure required.
• A college degree or an equivalent combination of education, certificates, or work experience required.
• Strong administration skills with M365/Azure and Network Administration.
• Comfortable in both Windows and Linux with exposure to scripting languages. e.g. PowerShell
• Strong fundamental knowledge of OSI Layer, TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, WAN, LAN, VLAN.
• Experience with Meraki and Cisco Switches/AP’s, Ansible, is a plus.

Work Environment:

• Intermittent travel may be required between our Distribution Center/HQ in Renton, WA and Co-Location facilities in Tukwila, WA, or to US and CA locations to support efforts for large scale projects.
• Ability to lift 40lbs, participate in equipment moves, setting up and discarding of hardware, and support physical ancillary efforts for business related projects.
