Job Description:
As part of the Global Equities technology team, an opportunity exists for a dev lead to work on the firm's global equity SWAPS system.
This role will require significant technology development experience in Equity SWAPS space with the following qualifications:
- Java, Kafka, InMem Caching, DB/SQL,FIX - technical advanced level proficiency with solid experience is a must.
- Significant practical experience with SWAP Hedge Trading (Split hedge, etc.) across US, APAC, and MENA regions .Solid experience with Give-up, Give-in, Risk, Credit, Booking, Matching, Allocation, Traiana workflows needed. Qualified candidate needs to have in depth knowledge in - Risk, SWAPS Lifecycle Management, Corp Action Management, Margin, Static/Symbology, Market Data, Client Reporting, Settlement, Reg Reporting/Compliance inquiries, Block reporting, SWAPS Reporting (NFA, HKMA, and FCA) etc.
- Need to have a strong understanding of equity market structures, overall SWAPs business and a proven track record of delivering robust & scalable software. The candidate should be able to demonstrate good analytical skills, strong software engineering skills,a logical approachto problem solving,worked in a capacity with high intensity and detailed attentiveness to trading environment.
- The candidate should have experience with Agile Development Techniques, Unit/System Testing and Performance Tuning methodologies, capable of contributing to all aspects of SDLC from analysis, design, development to daily production support. Excellent verbal and written communications skills, a self-starter who is willing to work independently in a demanding trading environment. This person should be rigorous ,results driven and should be able to work with minimal supervision with exemplary follow through.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Front office trading technology development to develop a highly resilient and scalable Equity Swap Trading System.
- Efficiently build out various product types across various regions of the end-to-end global Equity Swaps solution to support our clients globally.
- Will have direct communication with trading desks (SWAPs Desk, Derivatives Desk, Cash Desk, Program Trading, DMA and Algo trading for SWAPs, Derivatives and Cash Equities) End to End Workflows, Lifecycle risk management, Operations, Middle Office, Reg/Compliance, Client Services, as well as various internal technology teams to support current businesses and build out new application/system/modules.
- Capture & understand businessrequirements and architect, design and implementtechnical solutions.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in capital markets working and strong knowledge & understanding of financial products.
- 10+ years programming experience required.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required preferably in Computer Science. Advanced degree is a plus but not required.
The salary range for this role is $150,000-$225,000.
