Job Purpose:

As a Laravel Development Lead, you will spearhead our development team in the creation and maintenance of web applications built on the Laravel framework. You will combine your in-depth knowledge of Laravel with your leadership skills to ensure projects, enhancements, improvements, and day-to-day tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, aligning with our company's goals and client expectations.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership and Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of software development projects, from conception through deployment, ensuring they meet quality standards and deadlines.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Laravel developers, fostering a collaborative and productive environment. This includes an offshore team.
• Technical Expertise: Serve as the go-to expert for all things Laravel, providing guidance and support to the development team. Ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
• Architecture Design: Lead the planning and implementation of project architecture, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to best practices.
• Code Review: Conduct code reviews to ensure the quality and functionality of the codebase. Promote coding standards and best practices.

Skills and Qualifications:

Strong Experience with Laravel: Proficiency in Laravel framework and its ecosystem, with a solid understanding of PHP, MVC architecture, and OOP principles.

Leadership Skills: Proven experience leading development teams, with the ability to mentor and inspire team members.

Project Management: Experience with agile development methodologies and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Technical Skills: Knowledge of front-end technologies (such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Vue.js), database management (MySQL), and version control systems (GitHub).

Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.

Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with both technical and non-technical team members.

Education: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications in Laravel or PHP are a plus.

Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in web development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Demonstrated track record of successful projects using the Laravel framework.

Experience with Scrum, Agile and ITSM/SDLC tools.

Experience with cloud environments such as AWS.

Experience leading offshore development teams.
