Monday to Friday
Surgery Scheduler/Front Office will coordinate appointment times for patients and medical practitioners. As a Surgery Scheduler, you'll set up surgeries for patients and handle customer service inquiries. You be involved in ensuring there is enough time between appointments to allow physicians to complete certain surgical procedures. Front office/Other clerical duties may include maintaining databases, faxing, and scanning patient histories, answering phones, and updating patient account information.
This person would be responsible for various task such as:
- Checking-In/Communicate daily with patients
- Obtain medical history for specific conditions
- Determine appropriate examinations, tests and specialists’ requirements
- Schedule appointments for patients including follow-up appointments
- Ensure all patients and providers receive necessary documentation
- Preferred Skills: Customer Service, Data Entry, Medical Records Knowledge, Aware of some Medical Terminology, and Microsoft Office. Be able to maintain composure when dealing with an irritated patient.
- Educational Qualifications: High School diploma, or equivalent
- Additional Skills & Qualifications: Customer service focused, problems solving, critical thinking, good judgement.
