About the Surgery Scheduler Role:

ProHealth Staffing is seeking an experienced Surgery Scheduler to join a dynamic surgical practice in Burbank, specifically focusing on Bariatric and General surgeries, in a high-volume healthcare setting.

Surgery Scheduler Position Details:

• Location: Burbank, CA
• Compensation: $22.00 per hour
• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Employment Type: Long-term position with benefits eligibility after probation, such as Medical/Health Insurance benefits, Paid Time Off (PTO) package, Sick Time Pay/Coverage, Pension Plan for vested employees, paid parking privileges.

Surgery Scheduler Key Responsibilities:

• Scheduling an average of 10 or more Bariatric and General surgeries per week.
• Reaching out to patients to confirm surgery details and mailing out pre-operative instructions.
• Scheduling Pre-Op Nutrition Classes and Post-Op appointments.
• Managing high-volume calls, screening, routing calls, and taking messages as necessary.
• Verifying insurances and eligibility for patients.
• Handling incoming and outgoing mail and faxes with confidentiality.
• Assisting patients with questions, forms, documents, etc., as necessary.

Surgery Scheduler Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in surgery scheduling, preferably with Bariatric and General surgeries.
• Experience in a high-volume healthcare setting.
• Proficient in managing patient communications and preoperative preparations.
• Must have recent experience within the last 6 months in a medical front office role, including submitting referrals and authorization for radiology and EDD forms.
