Job Summary
The Direct Sales Team at Farmers Insurance is a high-performing Sales organization, helping customers protect their most valuable personal property via a contact center environment. We provide a consultative approach to insurance sales by taking the time to understand each customer’s insurance needs and present options best suited for them. The Direct Sales channel is a key growth engine for Farmers Insurance’s long-term strategy; this team is gearing up for expansion, and pursuing operational excellence and innovative and efficient processes to empower the team as we grow.
We’re looking for a Support Operations Manager (Employee Experience) to positively impact the employee life cycle across all levels of the Direct Sales team by owning relevant processes and initiatives. The Manager will build strong relationships and partner with stakeholders- including sales leadership, University of Farmers training, Quality Assurance, and an external vendor to co-create and maintain world-class direct sales effectiveness programs & content and lead ongoing projects.
Essential Job Functions
- Manage projects relating to initiatives including but not limited to new hire experience, continuing sales education, and leadership development
- Build & maintain strong partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including sales leadership, University of Farmers, quality assurance, and external vendor
- Establish performance benchmarking to determine success of onboarding, training & development initiatives
- Partner closely with internal and external partners to co-create and maintain sales skills development content
- Positively impact retention & satisfaction of new hires throughout on-boarding, ramp-up, and throughout full tenure
- Manage implementation of projects & ideas maximizing results, efficiency, and effectiveness
- Implement procedures/projects that drive change and consistency across Direct Sales
- Determine which emerging issues are relevant to the business unit and its future needs
- Ensure short- and long-term strategies, programs and processes are realized
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Three years of managerial or project management experience with at least five years of business experience.
Special Skill Requirement
- Experience leading a high-performing sales team is preferred
- Demonstrated track record of onboarding, engaging and developing employees; successfully influencing retention, job satisfaction, and potential for long-term success
- A strong understanding of the new hire experience and unique needs at this stage of employment
- College degree preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong PC and software skills required
