What we do:

The Supervision Group of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (FRBNY) supervises banks in the Second District. The objectives of supervision are to:

  • Evaluate and promote the overall safety and soundness of supervised institutions

  • Ensure supervised institutions’ compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including consumer protection

  • Facilitate the stability of the financial system of the United States

  • Support the growth and stability of the U.S. economy

Supervision is carried out through a combination of methods, including on-site and off-site examinations involving staff dedicated to the supervision of an individual firm and other professionals focused on analytical, policy and risk matters. Supervision is coordinated with other US agencies.

The Business Services function maintains a high-quality operational environment in support of the Group’s analytical, exam and policy activities; assesses and mitigates risks associated with the Group’s business lines; provides data and technology support for Supervision staff; conducts quality assurance and establishes a dynamic learning and development curriculum for staff, including the administration of examiner commissioning. The function is also responsible for ensuring that the business lines are well-positioned to meet the Group’s strategic objectives.

Your role as Business Operations ManagerSupervisory Support Program:

  • Lead a Business Operations team responsible for examination and supervisory operational processes and workflows, including reporting, document management, and scheduling.

  • Identify and communicate opportunities for employee growth, development, and improvement.

  • Develop and implement operational procedures.

  • Assist in developing systems that ensure inventory control, supply management, equipment selection, and maintenance.

  • Identify and prioritize continuous process improvement and innovation.

  • Maintain supervisory operational processes related to portfolios and understand the workflows involved with each process. This includes understanding the source systems being used to execute the supervisory process (CSCAPE, BOND, FileNet, ROAM S/T, ExamSpace, Supervision Central, InSite and OASIS).

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in a management role, including coaching, mentoring, and development.

  • Demonstrated experience in analytics or Business Operations, designing and implementing systems and processes.

  • Familiarity with examination or supervisory operational processes.

  • Experience using Tableau (crosstab, views, data mining) and Excel (V-lookup, pivot tables, charts) to analyze and present data.

Salary Range: $155400-$229300/ year
