Responsibilities
- Camp Counselors spend their days outdoors with a small group of children playing games, singing songs, wading in creeks, building forts, telling stories, and enthusiastically joining in on all aspects of our programs.
- Camp Counselors model Schoolhouse values such as kindness, curiosity, and empathy. Camp Counselors patiently process conflict and disagreements.
- Camp Counselors safeguard the physical, emotional, and intellectual safety of campers and Counselors in Training.
- Camp Counselors mentor and coach Junior Counselors and Counselors in Training by giving and receiving feedback, modeling behavior, and participating in a culture of growth.
- Camp Counselors establish lines of communication participants, their families, and other Schoolhouse staff, built on trust and empathy.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent, and are at least 18 years of age by your first day of work
- Have experience working with children and want to mentor them to find and be their best selves
- Have a passion for the outdoors and are comfortable working in the outdoors in all kinds of weather
- Are kind, curious, and confident with a “can-do” attitude and are able and willing to accept and effectively act on feedback and guidance
- Are up to date on your COVID-19 vaccinations, or are able to provide documentation of exemption.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
