SalaryWe are looking for enthusiastic, attentive, and responsible Camp Counselors to lead, support, and motivate campers as they enjoy all that camp at the J.F. Hurley Family YMCA has to offer. Camp counselors will lead and plan activities such as arts and crafts, science, STEM, games, and so much more! Camp counselors are responsible for group management, lead and plan daily activities, be a positive role model for campers. You should be positive, proactive, and caring while focusing on giving campers a fun and safe camp experience.
Camp Counselor Responsibilities:
- Working with other camp staff members to plan and coordinate camp activities
- Leading and supporting campers as they participate in age-appropriate activities
- Monitoring campers to ensure compliance with camp rules and prevent accidents
- Cleaning, maintaining and ensuring proper use of camp facilities and equipment
- Reporting and recording details of incidents, such as accidents or rule violations to the supervisor.
- Participating in weekly staff meetings
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $11.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 per week
