SalaryGoodwill TalentBridge, along with our client, is currently recruiting for Substitute Secretaries to work in the Milwaukee area.
SUMMARY:
This position offers a flexible work schedule and a variety of duties in such areas as enrollment, student records, student transportation, payroll, lunch program, field trips, supplies and the handling of petty cash. This role will include frequent contact and interaction with parents, students, and other school district staff. Substitute Secretaries replace a Secretary when he/she cannot report to work. Substitute Secretaries work on an on-call basis and are not guaranteed a certain number of hours.
Qualified candidates must be able to accept calls anywhere from 6:00am to 9:00am to be dispatched to a school for the day. Spanish bilingual skills are a definite plus! Administrative project work may also be available!
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
These functions are performed on a daily basis:
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, faxing, drafting documents, answering phone calls etc.
- Assist in areas such as enrollment, student records, student transportation, payroll, lunch program, field trips, supplies and handling of cash
- Assist parents, students and staff where necessary
- Assist Head Secretary and Principal where necessary
Requirements:
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule under short notice
- One year of previous general clerical/office support experience
- Ability to type at a minimum of 35 net words per minute
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and basic computer programs
- Pleasant attitude and professional demeanor
- Strong customer service skills
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Contract
Pay: $17.77 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 40 per week
