The expected pay range for this recruitment is $66,700.00 - $96,000.00 (Annual Salary). The Full Salary Range for the salary grade this position is assigned to is $66,700.00 - $118,500.00 (Annual Salary).
- Bachelor’s degree, plus 7+ years of experience in a higher education program providing support services to international students.
- 7+ years of experience with international students, law school admissions, and financial aid.
- Knowledge of recruitment and assessment practices with ability to determine high quality international student candidates eligible for admittance in law degree programs.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills, with proven ability to take initiative and manage multiple tasks independently and simultaneously with superior attention to detail.
- Excellent emotional intelligence, judgment, discretion, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure in a variety of cultural contexts.
- Strong computer skills and database management experience with proficiency in UNITE CRM software.
- Strong passion for working with and mentoring students from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds.
- The ability to travel internationally.
- Advanced LinkedIn knowledge.
- Fluency in at least one other language besides English.
- Advanced professional and/or legal writing experience.
- Active CA Bar Licensure
- Advanced knowledge of advising and counseling techniques.
- Knowledge of University-specific computer application programs and knowledge of University and departmental principles and procedures involved in risk assessment and evaluating risks as to likelihood and consequences.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills.
- Multicultural competencies; ability to work with diverse populations.
Preferred:
- Advanced knowledge of complex visa and immigration policies, procedures and regulatory requirements for international students and scholars.
- Ability in problem identification and reasoning; ability to develop original ideas to solve problems, persuasion, leadership.
- Skills in monitoring / assessing people, processes or services, to make improvements.
- In-depth knowledge of the field's post-degree employment opportunities and practices.
- Skills in project management, social perceptiveness to be aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
