Responsibilities- Develop and implement campus traditions programming and events including Homecoming and Garnet & Gold Tailgates.
- Lead signature events for department and division, create and support tradition building activities for a vibrant student experience, developing, and obtaining a vision of Student Engagement across campus.
- Collaborate with campus partners on campus-wide traditions including but not limited to Welcome FSU.
- Provide daily leadership, supervision, staff development, and evaluations for Graduate Assistants and student advisees.
- Provide feedback and ongoing assessment of learning and growth.
- Assist with the recruitment and selection of Graduate Assistants, Graduate Interns, student leaders, and Homecoming Councilmembers.
- Coordinate and present training and professional development opportunities for students and staff.
- Assist with the student organization registration process. Interpret, apply, and ensure compliance with Student Body Statutes, the Florida Administrative Code, State of Florida Statutes and Laws, and the rules and regulations of the Florida State University.
- Work in conjunction with Assistant Director of Student Organizations & Involvement to manage and maintain appropriate budgets.
- Demonstrate fiscal responsibility when utilizing appropriate department funding.
- Ensure university policies and procedures are followed for any spending in areas of oversight.
- Oversee process to budget, track, record and assess campus tradition programming.
- Attends department sponsored programs and events, establishes connections with students, supports financial literacy, freedom of expression, university policies and procedures, and has an overall knowledge of Student Engagement.
- Participates in the Engagement Team and DSA Initiatives, programs, and events to craft and support a vibrant student experience and build community.

A Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)

- Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.
- Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.
- Skill in assessment and treatment of persons from diverse populations.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of Student Program planning, development, and evaluation.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of event planning and ability to coordinate, organize and evaluate meetings and/or events.
