PURPOSE:
The Assistant Controller manages a team of accounting managers, supervises the month end close and reporting and partners with the business and operations.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- CPA required
- Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of MAS500, TM1 is beneficial
- Minimum 6 years of accounting experience. Healthcare experience a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred.
- Excellent technical accounting skills with a detailed understanding of current GAAP standards.
- Previous exposure to various types of accounting software (MAS 500, FRX, TM1, Cognos)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, Vlookup, Sumif etc.) and the ability to quickly manipulate and analyze large data sets and build reports.
- Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills needed to develop collaborative working relationships with cross functional teams.
- Experience successfully managing high performance teams.
