- Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

- Location: Appleton, WI
Manages the daily operations of the central sterile supply unit.
- Develops specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
- Collects and reports on data concerning instrument distribution, loss and replacement. Works collaboratively to identify and implement strategies related to product standardization, supply reduction, and cost containment.
- Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management. May perform and oversee processes such as scheduling, recruitment, payroll and student engagement.
- Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, vendor relations, and quality and process compliance of all sterilization activities throughout the health system.
- Monitors quality and process compliance of all sterilization activities.
- Establish and maintain sterilization, safety and security standards, policies and procedures for Sterile Processing Department to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Central Service Tech credentialed from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
Work Experience:
- 3 years of experience required.
- 1 year of leadership or management experience required.
Will travel to Ascension Calumet, Ascension Mercy Hospital and Ascension Midway once to twice a month.
4 to 5 years of Certified Sterile Processing experience preferred.
