Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate, creative, and energetic STEM Camp Instructor who embodies the spirit of a maker and has a genuine love for STEM. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys tinkering, building, and is excited about introducing young minds to the magic of 3D printing. You will be responsible for delivering an engaging curriculum, facilitating hands-on activities, and ensuring a memorable and educational experience for all campers.

Duration:

1 Week (March 25-29, 2024)

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate a week-long STEM camp for students in grades K-6, with a theme centered around 3D printing.
• Prepare and deliver interactive lessons that are engaging and age-appropriate, incorporating the principles of 3D design and printing.
• Guide students through the process of brainstorming, designing, and printing their 3D projects.
• Manage classroom dynamics and ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all students.
• Set up and maintain 3D printers and other necessary equipment.
• Collaborate with camp staff to ensure the smooth operation of the camp and a high-quality experience for participants.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child’s progress and achievements.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated passion for STEM and education, particularly in 3D printing technology.
• Experience in teaching or working with children in grades K-6 in an educational or camp setting.
• Strong maker mindset: loves to build, tinker, and explore new technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire young learners.
• Background in education, engineering, science, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in using 3D printing software and equipment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently.
• Must pass a background check.

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 – 8 per week
