Part-Time Steam Camp Instructor For After-School Program

**Location: Walnut Creek CA

**Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, After School Hours**

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Part-Time STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Camp Instructor for our after-school program in Antioch. As an instructor, you will have the opportunity to engage with students in fun and educational activities focused on building, tinkering, and exploring the world of STEAM.

**Responsibilities:**

- Lead engaging and interactive STEAM activities for students in grades K-8th grade during after-school hours.

- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore and experiment with STEAM concepts.

- Set up and break down before and after class, leaving the room as it was (or better!) than when you arrived.

- Guide students through hands-on projects, experiments, and challenges related to science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.

- Supervise and ensure the safety of all participants during STEAM camp sessions.

- Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to develop and implement curriculum plans that align with program goals and objectives.

**Qualifications:**

- Experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students of varying ages and backgrounds.

- Ability to effectively manage a classroom environment and adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual students.

- Reliable and responsible with a commitment to punctuality and professionalism.
