About this role
Boulder Care is seeking a Contractor who can jump in and help keep our growing business in compliance.
We're searching for help with the following:
- Audit business license/registration and reporting requirements for states in which we provides services, verify and update as necessary
- Audit business license/registration and reporting requirements for states in which we have employees, verify update as necessary
- Review Rippling and identify opportunities to create workflow efficiencies, create a calendar of deadlines and renewal dates set up and identify/who is responsible for regular reporting to facilitate transfer to new HRIS
- Work with existing Accountant to audit previous tax Filings and ensure nothing was missed
- Work alongside General Counsel and VP of Operations to plan and prepare for future 2024-2024 expansion requirements
- Update log-in and tracking sheet for all of the states
- Identify and consolidate state registered agent tasks
Requirements for the role:
- Proficient with Excel or Google Sheets
- Ideally 2+ years handling state compliance requirements, business registrations, and auditing tax filings
- Experience with Rippling/other HR softwares
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Experience with healthcare services accounting is a plus
- Familiarity with state agency websites
- Regularly demonstrates Boulder’s core values

Work environment
- While this is primarily a remote role, we invite you to join us at our river-front HQ located in Portland, OR
Expected hours of work
Approximately up to 10 hours per week
