STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Pay Range: $26.44-$30.10 per hour

What We're Looking For:
Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor preferred.
Associate's degree in accounting and two years of related experience preferred. Additional experience may be substituted for a degree.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Adobe Reader/Pro.
What You'll Be Doing:
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for applying principles of accounting to provide bookkeeping services, analyze financial information, and prepare financial reports. In addition, you will develop and promote good relations among clients and colleagues.
Essential Duties:
Accounts Receivable: review contracts, code and create invoices, data entry, maintain and update various spreadsheets, and respond to internal and external inquiries.
Accounts Payable: code and prepare accounts payable, verifies and completes payment of invoices, and balances associated accounts.
Prepare detailed work papers for monthly, quarterly, and annual bookkeeping clients.
Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, prepare entries to accounts, and prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
Reconciliation of cash accounts and credit card accounts.
Prepares & files tax forms/returns with federal, state, & local agencies (including payroll forms).
Maintains and builds relationships with internal and external clients; works closely with client and staff personnel, assists with calls to clients, provides documentation to clients and any other duties as assigned.
Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices & procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
