Staff Accountant

PROVEN Management, is seeking an experienced Accounting professional. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Paychex, QuickBooks and Microsoft excel with government contracting experience.  The person in charge will be responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and account related HR functions,. The candidate should have a minimum of ten years applied experience with payroll' specifically Paychex and QuickBooks. This position has potential for career advancement.  This is a hybrid position wit office attendance required twice monthly .

Specific Responsibilities:

• Timely and accurate accounts receivable invoicing, and monitoring of accounts receivable billings to ensure timely collection.
• Accounts payable entry and payments to ensure vendors are paid in a timely manner.
• Cash flow management and forecasting to ensure the proper timing of accounts receivable billings, collections and cash outflows.
• Processing of bi-weekly payroll, including proper deductions of benefit offerings and benefit accruals.
• Help to administer and account for the corporate credit card programs.
• Develop and maintain the accounting policies, procedures, and checklists.
• Continually enhance, improve and streamline the accounting processes.
• Special projects, with a focus on operational efficiency

Requirements:

Experience working with government clients and job costing

Strong analytical skills, organizational skills.

Demonstrated history of personal integrity including consistency in values, principles and work ethic.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Computer proficiency with a strong understanding of Excel and QuickBooks and Paychex or similar software.

Strong attention to detail and proficient time management

Ability to multi-task and the ability to excel in a fast paced environment.
