Our location is unique: 45 miles from D.C. and Baltimore yet only minutes from the Appalachian Trail.

Our church is experiencing significant & healthy growth.
In the last 3 years, the church has doubled.

Purpose:

To lead and coordinate efforts to ensure all people from first time guests to leaders are engaged in taking their Next Steps of becoming a fully devoted follower of Christ.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversight of Engagement Pathway (from first time to fully engaged)

Oversight of Discipleship Pathway (Assimilate new members, first time guests and new believers to become fully devoted followers of Christ)

Oversight of all Next Steps, including: Growth Track, Dream Team, Life Groups and other discipleship opportunities

Recruit, train, and develop leaders

Grow leaders and teams

Experience and Knowledge Required:

Ability to build relationships in order to assess, advise and direct a person’s appropriate Next Steps.

Ability to recruit, lead and equip leaders to lead successful teams and lead Life Groups.

High energy with enthusiasm for Calvary's Vision, Mission, and Values

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Oversee Next Steps Admin to ensure service preparedness for all activities and services.

Resource, support and direct Next Steps Admin, Coach, and Dream Team.

Resource and support Worship, Production, Kids, and Students departments as needed with Next Steps resources & systems.

Oversee Next Steps Admin to ensure all Growth Track events are equipped, resourced, and led with excellence and that participants receive their clear next step.

Utilize resources to ensure that Growth Track participants are engaging in their next step.

Resource all teams with necessary scheduling, communication & leadership tools to include Planning Center or any other means.

Provide pastoral leadership for Dream Team members and Coaches.

Lead efforts to implement conferences and Dream Team Party.

Have full knowledge of Life Groups database.

Lead Life Group kick-off events.

Recruit, train, and develop Life Group Leaders.

Oversee Next Steps Admin to ensure Life Group Directory and all materials are up to date.

Ensure all Next Steps (Growth Track, Dream Team, Life Groups) supplies are ordered, received and available as needed in coordination with Next Steps Admin.

Maintain Next Steps (Growth Track, Dream Team, and Life Groups) budgets

Monitor and report monthly defined measurables.

Oversee all related tasks and activities for 21 Days of Prayer (Jan & August).

Assist with pastoral care needs of the church.

Be available as needed to assist in crisis situations, hospital visits, funerals, and/or weddings.

Attend Sunday services and assist at conferences/events as needed.

Set an example by attending prayer meetings and all church events.

As needed, manage and lead Calvary Next Steps interns.

Actively engage in any and all meetings and assigned roles or all-church events or initiative as assigned by Lead Pastors.

Provide pastoral care through counseling, in-depth discipleship opportunities and personal care follow ups when appropriate (calls, messages, hospital visitations, etc).

Assume other responsibilities as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee day to day responsibilities of Next Steps Admin

Qualifications:

Demonstrates a personal commitment to making disciples who make disciples and a strong concern for those who are without a relationship with Jesus.

Supports the doctrine, mission, vision, and values of Calvary Church.

Provide Spirit-led leadership to the Next Steps Team to ensure that team members give their greatest energies to encourage the most people to take their Next Steps in faith.

Identifies, empowers and releases leaders who help people take their next step.

As a great teammate, works in harmony with the Lead Pastors and entire staff to fulfill the church’s mission, vision and values and builds a healthy team culture.

Provides leadership and management of the Next Steps Team through prayer, meetings, direction, overseeing the team budget, professional development, care and coaching.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
