What you'll do:
- You will champion quality on the team and drive the quality mindset with coaching and mentoring.
- You will contribute to and lead process improvement initiatives to improve quality.
- You will own the overall architecture and development of our CI/CD process serving multiple releases a week.
- You will work in a product development process that is primarily Agile/Scrum.
- You will act as a risk-driven quality assurance professional, escalating quality issues and concerns in a timely manner, providing suggestions for improvements and taking the lead on implementing those solutions.
- You will collaborate with key stakeholders including Product Owners – regarding user stories, acceptance criteria, definition of done, and other program-related decisions.
- This is a high traffic, high velocity application which requires attention to SEO, Core Web Vitals and load testing.
- You advocate on behalf of our consumers and you're not afraid to challenge the status quo.
- You demonstrate the ability to identify issues before our consumers find them.

What you'll bring:
- A driven software engineer that is motivated to build great products and a great codebase in a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive experience with white box testing and understanding of the inner workings of the system under test.
- Experience with BDD/TDD and test automation at the unit, component and system test levels.
- Experience with test automation tools like Playwright, Cypress, Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, Selenium.
- Experience with API and micro service testing.
- Able to take requirements and build something that's simple yet impactful, minimalistic yet beautiful, extensible yet maintainable.
- Independent and can manage your own projects and time with ease, all the while setting and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Strong communication skills with a growth and learning mindset.
- Experience with developing complex software systems using modern frameworks, tools, and systems.
- Experience working across the full technical stack and delivering quality code.
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Attention to detail, great sense of design, and commitment to beautiful user experiences.
- 5 or more years experience testing software in one or more modern programming languages (e.g. ReactJS/NextJS, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.js, Dart).
- Exposure to cloud-based architectures, development, and deployment.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, RDS.
- Understanding of computer science fundamentals, schema design, and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering/related field.
- Strong knowledge and experience applying a variety of testing concepts (eg: Test Pyramid, Testing Trophy, Equivalence Partitioning, Rapid Software Testing, etc).
- Strong fundamental understanding of functional and non-functional testing from a frontend and backend perspective.
