What You'll Do:
As an Analytics Engineer III, you will be the senior member of a team responsible for owning, developing & maintaining our Enterprise Analytics Applications specifically within our cloud environment. This position will focus heavily on the modeling & transforming of our structured & semi-structured data in the cloud that provided scalable, high-performance views/cubes for our BI Developers & field Analysts to consume. In this position you will be working with a group of peers in an agile scrum environment dedicated to providing pipelines & data to a domain of the business. This role will work very closely with our BI Developers, Data Science & End Stakeholders to build robust tools & technology to support the business. You will also need to be the subject matter expert in our stack of development tools that supports our products we produce. Acting as an expert on these tools to help other members of the team take on new tools to apply them in their day-to-day builds. Must be proficient in creating & maintaining data pipelines and help to set the standard across the team.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of industry trends and regularly seeks external expertise to accelerate their learning
  • Displays ownership in their work from planning/development through completion
  • Develop & Support Engineering Pipelines and Analytics Dashboards/Tools
  • Operate and develop in an Agile team Environment (Including backlog refinement & user story creation & ownership)
  • Responsible for analyzing complex data sets and provide thorough analysis for effectiveness evaluations and operational opportunities.
  • Executing, implementing, and ensuring the timely, quality-focused delivery of projects to client satisfaction/completion.
  • Mastered expertise and understanding of core business functions of multiple domains
  • Works collaboratively across the team and demonstrates the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to explain products to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ensures opened tickets are resolved within a timely fashion
  • Ability to pick up new tools & languages and apply them to projects
  • Strong collaborative mindset, good judgment with great interpersonal skills required to help solve complex business problems
  • Hunger to continue to learn & implement new tools & technology
  • Solid Communication Skills

What We're Looking For:
Education
  • Bachelors or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics or a related field.
  • Equivalent years of experience are defined as one year of professional experience for each year of college requested.

Experience/Skills
  • 5+ years of experience developing robust, scalable solutions for collecting & analyzing large data sets. Must be proficient in creating & maintaining data pipelines.

  • Master in developing packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and complex SQL statements.
  • Mastery with ETL tools (such as Informatica, dbt, FiveTran, AWS/Azure Products)
  • Deep Understanding of Snowflake Environment & Optimizing models
  • Design logical data models and their physical schema design.
  • Some experience programming in Java & Python. Big data knowledge is a plus
  • Deep Understanding of Git and/or bitbucket.
  • Experience working with multiple data sources and types (structured/semi-structured/unstructured)
  • Managed Cloud environments (AWS/Azure/Google)
  • High level expertise with SQL.
  • Partner with Data Owners to design solutions that align to data governance and data management principles best practices.
  • Data Visualization experience with PowerBI / Tableau / QlikView or equivalent
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, agile and dynamic environment with both virtual and face-to-face interactions.
  • Expert Knowledge of Data Engineering/Modeling Processes
  • Strong knowledge of SQL DBA work or Snowflake DBA work
  • Supply Chain or Logistics Knowledge (Transportation)
  • Solid in MS Office Products
  • Experience contributing to a Data Dictionary, Canonical Data Model or Code/Product Documentation

Certifications
  • Microsoft SQL Certifications
  • Snowflake Certifications
  • Dbt Certified a plus
  • AWS Stack Certifications/Trainings
