Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr. Project Manager - Healthcare.
In this role, the successful Project Manager is responsible for managing complex enterprise projects and ensure they are delivered on time, on budget, and of quality. He/she is a seasoned professional providing expertise in a complex professional discipline and responsible for overall coordination, status reporting, risk identification, mitigation, and escalation through proper channels. The overall goal of the role is to manage longer-term initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Under limited supervision, lead the overall management of a team and assigned projects, including
coordination, communication, status reports, develop schedules and project scope, and manage
stakeholders, financials, risks and issues
2. Manage multiple cross-functional projects of medium to high complexity that span across medical
center missions and Medical Center IT (MCIT) functional areas
3. Manage all aspects of multiple related projects or products to ensure the overall program is aligned
to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
4. Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work
efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality reviews; and escalating
functional, quality, and timeline issues appropriately.
5. Manages hybrid methodology projects and products that use an agile approach as well as traditional
milestones reporting to leadership
6. Interface with teams to ensure adherence to MCIT project management standards and processes,
including documentation requirements (meeting minutes, decisions, risks, issues, action items)
7. Contribute to senior management presentations and meeting preparations
8. Participate and contribute to EPMO process improvement initiatives
9. Adhere to internal Contracts and Purchase order requisition process
10. Lead and motivate effective project teams
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a 1. BA/BS degree (in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field preferred) with 5 years of
progressive project management experience
2. PMP Certification, product management, or relevant work experience preferred
3. Thorough understanding of SDLC
4. Must possess extensive knowledge and proven track record in the use of project management
methodologies and tools This should include knowledge and use of resource management practices
and change management techniques.
5. Excellent communication skills
6. Ability to work effectively with senior executives
7. Able to prepare and deliver engaging, well-organized presentations
8. Ability to work effectively with ambiguity
9. Ability to lead and motivate team members
10. Experience with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)
11. Experience with a Project Management tool

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $76,721.84 - $127,869.56 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
