1. Project Description: Provide field engineering and office support for Bus Electrification Project
2. Professional/Technical Title: Associate Project Manager II (6 Positions, Mechanical)
3. Duration of Task Order Term: 1 year.4. Approximate # of Hours Per Week: 40 hours
5. Work Schedule:
• Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required as needed.• 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M shift with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
• Shift may vary based on the phase of the project and the Contractor's work schedule.• Weekend shifts may be required.
6. Technical or Administrative functions:• Technical 80%, Administrative functions: 20%.
• Field office: 90%, Office location: 10%.• Right-of-Way access is required.

• New York, NY 10004.• Work within any of the 5 boroughs of New York City may be required.
9. Reports to: PCEO - Assistant Director Project Mgmt.,10. Education Qualifications Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, business administration or public administration and two years' experience;OR
• High school diploma or its educational equivalent and six years' experience; and
OR• High school diploma or its equivalent plus any combination of college education and/or experience to make up the equivalent of six years education and experience One year of experience will be given for:
o 30 college credits.o A master's degree from one of the disciplines described in #10
o A valid New York State license as a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect11. Experience Requirements:
•Minimum of two years' experience in a supervisory capacity;OR• One year as a Project Manager for a large and/or complex construction project.
12. Licensing and Certification Requirements:• Must pass a one-day MTA C&D Track Safety training & prior to participating any in work capital projects.
13. Desired Skills/Training Requirements:
• Demonstrated knowledge of (Microsoft Office) related to design and construction management.• Demonstrated knowledge of Electrical Engineering standards/codes and practices.
• Demonstrated knowledge of MicroStation and Computer Aided Design Drafting (CADD).• Familiarity with rail/transit operations and practices, and mass transit facilities is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.14. Description of Work:
• Review Construction documents• Supervise and provide guidance to contractor(s).
• Resolve Construction issues related to field conditions, inter discipline conflicts, long term maintenance issues and life cycle costs.• Act as a facilitator between the Contractor, Designers, User Departments and Maintenance groups.
• Attend job progress meetings, safety meetings and CPM schedule meetings.• Resolve field conditions expeditiously.
• Monitor budgets, MTA C&D services usage and schedules to identify potential shortfalls and take necessary action to prevent negative impact on critical path.• Coordinate necessary information to ensure General orders are successfully executed and
timely provided to appropriate party to prevent service interruptions.• Initiate General Orders and work with flagging teams to ensure safety of track workers.
• Properly close General Orders.• Inspect work, immediately identify and notify Contractors of deficiencies or concerns.
• Daily Activities:• Prepare daily reports;
• Update progress photos into daily inspection report for manager approval/overview;• Prepare formal and informal running punch-lists;
• Coordinate and confirm punch-list completion; and• Conduct joint pre-and final inspections with Contractors and MTA trade groups.
Note• The Consultant shall provide safety shoes, at no cost to MTA C&D, which meets MTA C&D's guidelines and specifications when participating in any activities located on the track or wayside. Guidelines will be provided upon hire.
No Relocation provided.
Salary to commensurate with job experience.
