Sr. Marketing Director, Professional Division
Job Description
BIG is looking for a Sr. Marketing Director who has extensive marketing and branding experience in a matrix organization. This person will lead brand planning including building and driving brand strategy, go-to-market process, and managing marketing programs from ideation through launch for the Professional Division. Reporting directly to the Sr. Vice President of Marketing, this role will serve as a key partner to brand leaders and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of the annual brand marketing plan including defining marketing goals, objectives, strategies and KPIs in partnership with the Sr. Vice President of Marketing.
- Develop marketing strategies optimized for local execution, including customer and consumer target approach and positioning, to help achieve brand, category, and channel goals.
- Foster innovative, solution-focused thinking and approach to brand marketing planning, bringing new ideas for consideration.
- Drive distinctive and consistent creative, storytelling, and brand voices across all professional brands
- Guide, develop, and support a team of direct reports responsible for global brand and go to market strategy, partnerships, creative, and program management
- Actively track, analyze, and share business results, brand health metrics and competitive activity, trends, and implications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or relevant fields
- 7+ years brand management experience successfully guiding strategic marketing, branding, and product management within consumer goods industry (beauty industry experience is a plus)
- 5+ years leading large cross-functional projects - especially those with high levels of ambiguity - and gaining alignment with multiple levels of leaders
- 5+ years of management experience, with a proven ability to lead a team of marketers.
- Experience and understanding of the professional hair category is perfered but not required
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across functional areas of the business enabling the successful achievement of initiatives across all marketing categories
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify original branding opportunities
- Ability to travel (10-15% of the time)
