Job Description
REQUIREMENTS:
- BA Computer Engineering with 5 years + experience in QA (Quality Assurance)
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Certified in Software Testing (CMST); Certified in Software Quality Analyst (CSQA); and Certified as a Software Test Engineer (CSTE).
JOB DUTIES
- Analysis of Business and Functional requirements for Various SharePoint applications.
- Creating test strategies (that include release dates, types of testing, scope of the projects, detail explanation of particular releases, RAID Risk, Assumptions, and Issues and Dependencies, etc.).
- Designing estimates (time /effort) based on the requirements analysis.
- Preparing test plans covering timelines, resources (Man /Machine) and deployment (How it will be tested).
- Designing test cases and test scenarios from all the available inputs. Identifying the test scenarios based on the understanding of systems, interfaces and application.
- Also identifying end to end business critical scenarios.
- Based on the changes in the requirement, identifying regression scenarios and the impacted areas on need -basis.
- If required, provide Test Case walkthroughs and seek customer sign off inclusive of Prioritization of Test cases, and Optimization options, etc.
- Performing high level testing to ensure testing is intact.
- Performing comprehensive Data analysis using excel functions such as VLOOKUP, macros and pivot table.
- Automating the frequently used test cases to minimize the manual efforts using tools such as Selenium 3.0 and above.
- Writing SQL queries to query database for testing.
- Tracking the number of test cases executed as part of the daily tracker to ensure productivity.
- Participating in the defect triages to gather evidence for defect identification on periodic basis for defect prioritization and fix.
- Tracking defect metrics to ensure testing effectiveness as generated by JIRA tool.
- Retesting the defects and updating the status.
- Preparing Test Summary Reports and sharing the same with stake holders.
- Coming user presentations and seeking sign off from users.
