Mep Quality Control Manager - Construction

About the job:

Dobco, Inc. is seeking a full-time MEP Quality Control Manager for our $200M project at The Military Academy at West Point in Orange County, NY. In this important role, the MEP QC Manager will provide advice, guidance and expertise with respect to the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection of the project.

Responsibilities:

· Study / review all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing drawings, specifications and general conditions

· Direct / coordinate / supervise work being done by the MEP subcontractors on site to ensure compliance with design, specifications, building codes and contract documents

· Perform site inspections for MEP compliance with contract documents

· Submit / maintain Daily Workforce Reports and progress photos and file accordingly

· Review and approve MEP submittals

· Conduct weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors

· Keep the project management team informed of all incidents that occur on site

· Communicate with Dobco’s Project Executive and Owner/Owner’s Representative on a regular basis to understand expectations and ensure customer satisfaction

Requirements:

· Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Construction / MEP Coordination

· Solid understanding of all Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing systems

· Good understanding of Building codes, Mechanical Codes, Electrical codes and Plumbing codes as they relate to construction of project

· Excellent leadership skills

· Solid understanding of all facets of construction sequencing

· Experienced dealing with MEP subcontractors

· Have proven track record as a Project Manager or Superintendent on projects with large MEP scopes
