What We’re Looking For

We are on the hunt for a talented, multi-disciplinary Content Marketing Senior Manager to join our in-house Creative Marketing team as both a leader and a doer. The right candidate has 5-10 years writing and Content Marketing experience in the B2B tech industry who understands the strategic value of Content Marketing. As the operational owner of our Content Marketing function, they will influence and bring our Content Marketing vision to life through marketing programs, executing with a high degree of quality and timeliness. They excel at writing a range of content across the buyer’s and customer lifetime journey including developing content that requires research and interpreting SME, product, and technical information to successfully craft compelling and persuasive content that resonates with our target audience on a global level. They embrace AI tools and use them to enhance Content Marketing approaches and outputs.


They will partner with marketing program owners, product marketing SMEs, customer marketing, events, partner marketing, PR/media relations, sales, graphic designers, and external agencies to conceptualize and produce content elements of integrated marketing campaigns, including but not limited to web pages, digital ads, customer stories, eBooks, blogs, datasheets, videos, and event assets.


Our Ideal Candidate

  • Has a minimum of 5-10 years B2B tech/SaaS company experience and a shareable portfolio of content they have developed
  • Is a Content Marketing expert, people leader, and process lover who understand how to bring strategy to life through operational execution and management of a writing team
  • Has a strong understanding of both the B2B buyer’s journey and customer lifetime journey and the topics that engage them
  • Is a highly motivated creative thinker who demonstrates success at crafting innovative, engaging, optimized content for all digital and print assets, long-form and short-form content, across multiple channels, for multiple audiences/personas
  • Understands how to author clear, on-brand copy that aligns with a company’s voice and tone
  • Has a proven track record of producing global creative content through research, input from SMEs and customer interviews for advertising and marketing campaigns
  • Understands the value of A/B testing, analytics, and SEO while ensuring that content is optimized for various device form factors across multiple channels
  • Thinks differently and asks “why” to ensure the big picture of messaging, copy and visuals combined tell powerful stories that tie back to our strategy and resonate with our target audience
  • Has a “no task is too small attitude” and is enthusiastic when it comes to editing and proofreading marketing content for clarity, grammar, and accuracy
  • Has adopted AI tools to support the Content Marketing function and is always looking for new and better ways to use these capabilities
  • Thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment while bringing new ideas and perspectives to our content strategy
  • Has a positive attitude and is willing to go the extra mile to add value to the team
  • Embraces change and iteration, adapting to shifting timelines and excels at time/project management, contributing to multiple projects at the same time without missing a beat
  • Has experience with project management tools like Asana

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the Content Marketing Operations function and writing team, working alongside our Creative Operations Director to prioritize work and sustain the high-quality and on-time delivery of projects that support our company’s Marketing strategy and go-to-market program plans
  • Act as a chief reviewer and approver of content developed by team members
  • Be actively involved in standing up a new website in 2024
  • Be an impactful writer in your own right for content such as webpages, digital ads, blogs, eBooks, datasheets, customer stories, video scripts, and thought-leadership content on a variety of topics relevant to our audience, while adhering to best practices


Requirements

  • 2-3 year management experience of a Content Marketing team
  • 5-10 years of Content Marketing experience, with at least 5 years in the B2B technology space, including executing a Content Marketing strategy, writing, editing, and planning with an in-house creative or marketing team, digital agency, or third-party contractors
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to write in different styles/tones
  • Familiarity with keyword placement and other SEO best practices
  • Experience working on a cross-functional marketing team
  • Flexible, can-do attitude comfortable working in a face-paced environment with the ability to switch gears quickly
  • Passion for developing and implementing innovative content and campaigns
  • Ability to prioritize work quickly, multi-task, and thrive under tight deadlines with a strong attention to detail
  • Access to a web-based portfolio that demonstrates your ability to craft compelling content types across web, digital collateral, social, video, and print is required to progress your application.

  • Travel to internal meetings and customer event

Education

  • BA in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, or related discipline preferred
