Overview
With a tenured background as a film and photography producer in the marketing and advertising field, the Content Studio Manager is passionate about creative storytelling, and the art of photography and video production. The ideal candidate has a track record of coming up with creative and innovative ideas for multiple forms of content across the customer purchase journey.
The Content Studio Manager brings extensive industry relevant knowledge and experience to our organization, to effectively manage all aspects of the pre, production and post-production process. They leverage current technology, hardware, software, equipment, cutting edge techniques to drive results and to maximize the impact of the Studio's objectives.
The Content Studio Manager will also oversee our video and photography agency relationships, production budget, agency contracts, scope of works and payments. This position will work globally with internal marketing, marketing communications, agencies, and outside vendors to concept, create and produce materials to support product launches and other corporate initiatives.
As the Content Studio Manager will oversee a team of direct reports, including video producers, video editors, photography specialists and CGI artists who are responsible for high quality ideas, and efficient productions. The Content Studio team collaborates closely with our graphic designers, copywriters, and product marketing teams to bring our brand, purpose and BISSELL products to life.
Overseeing the management of the physical location of BISSELL Content Studio will also fall under the Content Studio Managers administration.
The role reports to the Creative Director within the Integrated Marketing organization.
Responsibilities
  • Leads and mentors a team of producers, editors, photographers and CGI specialists - providing strategic leadership, tactical direction, feedback, and career coaching.
  • Fosters team culture within the Content Studio team and across the Creative department
  • Develops, refines and implements creative production strategies.
  • Oversees the logistics of production: the development and capture of video, and photography, and the creation of CGI - with both internal customers and external vendors.
  • Is responsible for the quality of the assets captured, by being involved from ideation, creative development and execution, editing and delivery.
  • Continually evolves the content capture process within the overall creative process
  • Has abilities to set and adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ensures our studio operates optimally and is on the cutting edge of from a creation and resource perspective.
  • Has detailed knowledge of current marketing and social media trends.
  • Establishes toolkits and guidelines that will lead to productivity, efficiencies and creativity.
  • Is accountable for ensuring the content developed is within master brand guidelines that will lead
    to productivity, efficiencies and creativity.
  • Partners and collaborates with the multifunctional teams such as Product Marketing, Consumer Care, Delivery and Operations across the creation process.
  • Manages all content development projects to ensure they are completed in a timely manner. Assigns project tasks, manages timelines and budgets.
  • Manages the studio budget and related contracts, SOWs and legal review.
  • Collaborates agency content development partners and, our agency of record on broadcast production activities.
  • Oversee the negotiation of image rights and ensure the upkeep and organization of the brand imagery database
  • Operate as a Project Manager, sharing and monitoring project schedules, deliverables and KPIs
  • Manages the location, build, and set development of the BISSELL Creative Studio - the infrastructure and operations.
  • Ensures the sets, props, wardrobe, and equipment are maintained and organized.
  • Compiles and deliver information through presentations.
  • Has effective verbal and written communication and facilitation skills.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience / Education:
  • Degree minimum: Bachelor's degree in Film Making or Production, Cinema Studies, Business, Journalism or Communications.
  • Specific concentration: Video production, Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • Experience level: 5-8 years as a Producer managing creative projects and/or operating a Content Studio for a mid-large size retail brand
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant software such as: Adobe Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro, Lightroom,
  • Proficient in Microsoft Programs: Excel, Word, PPT
  • Experience with project and asset management solutions like Work Front and Adobe Experience Manager
