Hanwha Qcells US Technology Group Sr. HR Generalist
Position Overview
The Sr HR Generalist will lead and administer the daily HR functions of the assigned client group including, but not limited to, payroll & benefits administration, employee relations, and enforcing company policies and practices. (Can be based in San Francisco or Santa Clara, CA)
Responsibilities
Support HR Manager in overseeing the HR daily workflow of the assigned client group.
Works closely with the HR team leads and other specialists as needed on strategic HR initiatives that may include performance management, Workforce Planning, Succession Planning, Compliance, communication, talent management, on/offboarding.
Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Lead, direct and communicate collaboratively with HR management leadership to influence, develop, implement, and manage policies and services, in areas such as Payroll, Benefits, Retention; Performance Management; and Employee Relations.
Implements, maintains, and reviews HRIS systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, wages, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
Works closely with the Corporate Finance department with monthly/quarterly/annual on reporting.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of HR Generalist experience with strong proficiency in Payroll & Benefits.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related experience required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong project management skills.
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools. (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Korean / English bilingual.
HR certifications.
HR actions in Workday.
ADP Payroll.
