Responsibilities:
- Perform tasks critical to completing studies for NERC Compliance and Tariff Requirements.
- Utilize advanced knowledge of power flow analysis, LOLE analysis, transient stability analysis, and short circuit analysis.
- Develop secondary skill sets related to each of the mentioned analysis techniques.
- Apply knowledge of NERC standards and the SPP OATT to meet relevant study requirements.
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
- Degree should be from a university meeting the requirements to sit for the Professional Engineering exam.
- Preferred degree programs include Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
- Senior Engineer: Five (5) years of relevant Engineering experience; Professional Engineer License or graduate degree in a related field may satisfy one year of experience requirement.
- Senior Engineer II: Nine (9) years of relevant Engineering experience; Professional Engineer License or graduate degree in a related field may satisfy one year of experience requirement.
- Advanced knowledge of power flow analysis, LOLE analysis, transient stability analysis, and short circuit analysis.
- Familiarity with NERC standards
- Professional office environment.
- Routine use of standard office equipment.
- Regularly required to make decisions, interpret data, and problem-solve.
- Frequent standing or sitting for extended periods; use hands to operate a computer keyboard and standard office equipment.
- Occasional lifting and moving up to 10 pounds.
- Ability to work and collaborate with managers and employees at all levels.
- Full-time position.
- Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Working extended hours may be required.
- Minimal travel required (approximately 10%).
