Job Description
- Obtaining, evaluating, and analyzing sources of credit and financial information for commercial or agricultural loan customers.
- Assisting in maintaining complete and well-organized electronic loan files and developing a strong understanding of the bank’s credit policy and procedures.
- Assisting in identifying and documenting credit file exceptions and loan policy exceptions.
- Maintaining independence in the credit underwriting function in order to uphold the bank’s record of industry-leading risk management practices and high credit portfolio quality.
- Participating in customer meetings with lenders in order to develop a better understanding of commercial or agricultural customers and their operations.
- Serving on internal committees such as Senior Loan Committee, Loan Review Committee, attending and providing feedback in commercial and agricultural lender meetings.
Who Are You?
- Bachelor’s Degree or extensive coursework in business administration, accounting/finance, agribusiness, or credit/underwriting-related fields.
- Five or more years of field-related training and/or experience at a financial institution.
- Three or more years of commercial or agricultural credit analysis experience.
- Extensive knowledge, experience, and interest in banking procedures and the ever-changing banking industry.
- Ability to obtain and analyze financial information efficiently and accurately.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong business professional abilities including high proficiency in MS Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook), as well as familiarity or ability to quickly learn file imaging and other bank programs and technology.
