Description

Job Summary:

The Credit Analyst is responsible for reviewing financial statements, underwriting loan requests, and evaluating the credit worthiness of commercial loan applicants.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Perform credit analysis and underwriting of commercial loan customers' financial information and provide written analysis of work performed.
  • Conduct credit investigations and analyze financial statements for new and existing customers, regularly communicate with loan officers, and assist in the preparation of financial/credit information packages for review and approval by loan officers and/or loan committees.
  • Perform periodic reviews of existing loan files and financial information.
  • Spread financial information via Credit Quest.
  • Maintain knowledge of the Bank's Loan Policy and accurately identify policy exceptions.
  • Complete global cash flow analysis on credits.
  • Obtain bids and engage appraisals for commercial loan requests, send finalized appraisal reports on for third-party review, and address any questions posed by reviewers.
  • Produce monthly and quarterly reports and submit to CCO for review.
  • Attend Loan Review Committee meetings and take minutes as assigned.
  • Assist with special projects.
  • Support the credit administration team by completing various assigned tasks.
Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Proven proficiency in financial spreadsheets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven decision-making skills.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
  • 1+ years of commercial financial analysis/credit analysis required.

Equipment/Software:

  • Ability to operate general office equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Familiarity with Credit Quest underwriting program preferred.
