Sr. Bookkeeper (Part-Time)

Position Description:

Duties: Utilize QuickBooks Online (provided) to perform day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities for client support. Review financial records for multiple clients for accuracy and consistency. Prepare monthly financial reports. Invoice creation and payroll management. Serve as an expert resource for bookkeeping team members. Implement and refine process improvement methods. Assist in onboarding and set-up of new clients. May require interaction with the client periodically.

Position Type: W2 employee

Work Days/Time: Mon. - Fri. during business hours (mountain time). Requires a predictable set schedule; 4 hours per day 5 days per week (M-F) during business hours.

Time commitment: 20 hours per week.

Location: Telework (work from home) but MUST reside in Arizona or New Mexico.

Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen

Education: Accounting degree preferred but relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.

Pay Rate: $25 per hour

Responsibilities Include:

• Transaction Entries
• Reconciliations
• Comprehensive review of Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss (details)
• Prepare monthly financial reports
• Prepare client requested invoices
• Oversee and manage payroll using Gusto and QuickBooks Online Payroll
• Implementation of Process Improvement Checklist
• Remote customer service

Minimum Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting procedures
• Full understanding of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Statement
• QuickBooks Online (Intermediate to Advanced)
• Excel
• Ability to professionally communicate by phone, Zoom, email, and in person
• Excellent listening skills; Ability to understand the needs of the customer
• Keen eye for detail
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Technically savvy; Ability to learn new tools quickly
• Embrace learning

Required Skills/Training:

• QuickBooks Online certification
• Bookkeeping experience, certification, and/or training
• Degree in accounting or MBA
• Knowlege of Asana, Syft, Google Docs, and LastPass preferred but not required
