Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine fabrication requirements
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components using various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding
- Operate machinery and tools such as plasma cutters, grinders, and pipe threaders
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications and adhere to codes and standards
- Collaborate with team members to plan and prioritize fabrication projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of fabrication processes
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
- Experience with machining tools and equipment
- Ability to operate welding equipment including MIG, TIG, and stick welders
- Knowledge of codes and standards related to fabrication work
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot fabrication issues
