Job description
This position will assist with identifying, developing, and nurturing strategic partnerships with potential sponsors. Develop and implement a sponsorship strategy in line with the organization's goals and objectives. Research potential sponsors and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers to understand their needs and develop sponsorship packages that are mutually beneficial to the organization and sponsors. The primary focus will be on generating revenue through the sale of sponsorship packages tailored to the needs and goals of our clients. Create compelling presentations and pitches that effectively communicate the value proposition and benefits of partnering with our organization. This position will also act as the primary activation manager for Student Life Sponsorship; coordinates sponsorship agreements including support with invoicing and budgeting; serves as a member of the Student Life Sponsorship team, activator and liaison of signed contract agreements, coordinator and point person for sponsorship related events; coordinates all sponsorship agreements including invoicing and budgeting in this area. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, track progress against targets, and provide regular reports on sales performance. Accountable for the development and modification of contracts, as well as ensuring the successful fulfillment of all sponsorship commitments and deliverables. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with the ability to work independently. Candidate must also work collaboratively with multiple university departments to ensure that available marketing assets are integrated successfully into sponsorship activations and partnerships. Evaluate sponsorship ROI and effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2 years’ experience in sponsorship activities, organizational sales; strong presentation and negotiation skills; Proven experience in Sponsorship Sales, partnership management, or related roles; experience in a collegiate or university environment, including direct engagement and collaboration with students.
Desired: Master’s degree and/or equivalent experience. 2-4 years’ experience in sponsorship or corporate sales; strong organizational and communication skills and experience in negotiating sponsorship packages highly desired.
This position will support the Office of Student Life. The pay range is $58,100 - $77,450.
