Well-regarded and rapidly growing boutique trial law firm in the Loop is actively seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to join its vibrant national practice. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of prior experience as a paralegal or Legal Assistant. Entry level candidates with strong academic credentials or experience in similar roles may also be considered and are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
- Provide administrative assistance to attorneys and paralegals.
- Manage attorney calendars and coordinate project timelines.
- Maintain legal files and document management systems.
- Electronically file documents with the court.
- Schedule depositions, meetings, and court hearings.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, such as contracts and pleadings.
- Conduct research and gather relevant information.
- Transcribe dictations and prepare correspondence.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Answer phone calls and provide professional phone etiquette.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and document management systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.
- Proficient in using computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Strong administrative skills, including filing, record keeping, and data entry.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $46,818.00 - $50,584.00 per year
