Scarborough’s corporate warehouse is located in Liberty, Missouri and offers 416,000 square feet of fully racked Class A space with 40 dock doors. Scarbrough strives to provide a full-service warehouse experience, including: container devanning, storage, inspection, kitting, reverse logistics, custom labeling, custom packing, compliance management, omni-channel retail fulfillment, crossdocking, and distribution services.

Position Overview:

Receiving Specialist responsibilities include unloading, transporting, and placing incoming materials in proper locations within the warehouse. They are also responsible for loading outbound deliveries. Receiving Specialists must have a strong attention to detail and work as a team to complete all tasks on time and in full according to customer standards.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a complete understanding of customer requirements
• Assist with the verification of inbound documents to ensure timeliness and accuracy
• Knowledge of warehouse management practices and procedures
• Promote safe working habits and ensure strict compliance with the safety and security policies and procedures governing business operations
• Utilize warehouse management system
• Interact effectively with co-workers, warehouse management, customer service team, clients, and vendors
• Ensure efficient and safe operations of all material handling equipment; place unsafe MHE out of service
• Perform related responsibilities assigned by management, which may be added or revised based on business and operational needs, with or without advance notice

Requirements

• Ability to lift/move up to 50lbs and participate in physical job activities such as standing, walking, crouching daily. Work in an environment that may be hot, cold, and noisy.
• 1+ years' experience in operations for fulfillment, supply chain, logistics, or transportation companies
• Works cooperatively and collaboratively within a group
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to give and share information with co-workers, customers, vendors and warehouse management
• Ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with material handling equipment preferred
