Job Summary
The Louisville Urban League is Louisville’s largest and oldest civil rights organization. We provide programming and advocacy regarding jobs, justice, education, health, and housing. The League is strengthening its ability to help Black-owned businesses start-up, stabilize, and scale. The Center for Entrepreneurship Special Projects coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating specialized educational cohorts and events. This includes scheduling, organizing materials and curriculum, securing expert guest speakers and tracking client participation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key duties and responsibilities include:
- This role will work with systems and tools created by the Managing Director with the expectation that the Coordinator will provide meaningful feedback on the effectiveness of the tools and the potential need for additional/different solutions to achieve superior results
- Special Projects Coordinator should be knowledgeable of foundational business concepts and Should be able to clearly explain programs and products to clients and other stakeholders.
- Work with the director and other team members to create program design and curriculum
- Perform review of participant applications. Manage client registration for cohorts and workshops. The coordinator will inform participants of program details ensuring clients understand any and all obligations.
- Provide program outreach and manage communication with referring agencies and partners and or making referrals as appropriate
- Provide post program follow-up/ support
- Manage all client communication. Including collecting pre and post-program survey data.
- Continuely enter client data into the organization’s customer management system and complete required documentation in a timely and thorough manner
- Demonstrate professional discretion and confidentiality at all times when discussing client and vendor work agreements and other such confidential matters

- Demonstrate competency and comfort working with common computer programs and software (Google environment, Salesforce, etc.)
- Willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required
Education and/or Experience
- A degree from an accredited two or four-year college or university is preferred. Relevant professional experience may be substituted.
- Experience with project management and project administration is preferred
Work Environment
In this position, theworkweek is Monday through Friday with evenings and weekends. The incumbent should expect to spend time in a comfortable, indoor office environment . Much of the incumbent’s time will be spent at a computer using Google Suite Software, Zoom, and on the phone. Some local and statewide travel is common in order to meet with strategic partners and potential customers. As such, a valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation is required. Reimbursable mileage, does not include commuting to and from work.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
