Position Overview
As our new Mortgage Loan Originator, you will originate residential mortgages for portfolio and sale to the secondary market.
Essential Duties
- Originates all fixed rate and adjustable rate mortgages for portfolio and secondary market utilizing UniBank's Loan Policy and Secondary Market guidelines. Cross-sells UniBank products and services.
- Ensure all loan compliance audits results are in a satisfactory rating or above.
- Makes calls to area Real Estate Brokers, Financial Planners, Lawyers, and builders in order to obtain new business.
- Works closely with Mortgage Processors and Underwriters to ensure that the loans get approved and closed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manages their mortgage pipeline on a daily basis.
- Participates in seminars and home shows which are sponsored by the bank.
- Represents the bank with the community through participation in various business, civic, and service organizations.
Education, Training and work Experience
- Must possess numeric and verbal aptitudes.
- Knowledge of mortgage lending regulations
- Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
- HS Diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3 years related experience in mortgage lending required
