Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Project Coordinator to play a critical role in managing and coordinating cyber risk mitigation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, as well as experience working with project management methodologies. They will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring cybersecurity mitigation projects to ensure successful completion and compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain project plans and schedules to ensure timely completion and alignment with organizational objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cybersecurity engineers, IT operations personnel, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements, define project scope, and facilitate communication throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage project resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment, to optimize efficiency and minimize costs
- Track project progress, identify and address potential risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure project success
- Conduct regular project status meetings to provide updates to stakeholders and ensure alignment with expectations
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and risk assessments
- Stay up to date on the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies
- Participate in security audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned
- Three or more years of experience in project management, preferably in a cybersecurity environment
- PMP Certification, preferred
- Experience with CYBERSECURITY PROJECT management tools and software as well as cybersecurity incident response procedures is a plus
- Knowledge of relevant cybersecurity standards and regulations, such as NIST CSF and ISO 27001 desired
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, including risk assessment, vulnerability management, and incident response
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and deliverables
