As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a dynamic and passionate Special Events Sales Manager to join our team.

Position Overview: As the Special Events Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue through the sale and execution of private events, weddings, corporate gatherings, and other special occasions at Whiskey Joe's Manatee River. You will play a pivotal role in fostering relationships with clients, coordinating event logistics, and ensuring all quarterly sales goals are met.

Pay: $52000 - $60000 / year

plus commission

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and pursue sales opportunities for private events, weddings, and corporate functions.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients through effective communication and personalized service.
  • Collaborate with the culinary and beverage teams to create customized event menus and beverage packages tailored to client preferences.
  • Conduct site tours and consultations with prospective clients to showcase our venue and discuss event details.
  • Prepare accurate proposals, contracts, and event orders in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate closely with internal departments to ensure all aspects of events, including staffing, setup, and AV requirements, are executed flawlessly.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the planning process, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Provide post-event follow-up and solicit feedback to continuously improve the guest experience and drive repeat business.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and client preferences to maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in private event/catering/Special Events Sales in the hospitality or event industry.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with diverse clientele.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to tailor offerings to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and event management software (e.g., Tripleseat, Delphi, etc.)
