We are seeking a Solutions Architect - Hospitality, who will report to the Manager, Sales Engineering.
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Solutions Architect manages the pre-sales process, working as a liaison between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our hospitality focused Managed Services Provider (MSP) solutions and services.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, but are not limited to:
- Partner with our Business Development team to evaluate project scope and provide technical expertise.
- Assess customer needs by liaising with the Business Development team in developing and designing the appropriate scope of work.
- Expertise in hospitality IT systems and applications. This includes knowledge of hotel management systems, point-of-sale systems, revenue management systems, and other hospitality-specific software.
- Strong understanding of the hospitality industry. This includes knowledge of hospitality business processes, challenges, and opportunities.
- Ability to design and implement IT solutions including the ability to gather requirements and develop system designs.
- Ability to write proposals. This includes the ability to write clear and concise proposals that outline the scope of work, timeline, and budget for new hospitality IT projects.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years of experience in a Solutions Architect role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Experience with hospitality IT systems and applications, such as hotel management systems, point-of-sale systems, and revenue management systems.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
- Experience with writing proposals.
- Strong understanding of the hospitality industry and its challenges.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stay up-to-date on the latest hospitality IT trends and technologies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certificate in hospitality IT, such as Certified Hotel Technology Professional (CHTP), is a plus.
- Experience with specific security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus software
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time to perform work on a PC. Ability to communicate with others effectively to gather information and develop detailed proposals. Ability to create reports on a PC.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Generally, works in an office environment but is occasionally be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting. Evening, overnight, and weekend work may be required at times. Travel is up to 25% at times.
