About the Opportunity
The Solutions Architect leads next generation capability-based delivery practices that drive Cloud/SaaS modernization engagements. Serving as the overall higher ed capability thought leader for Services delivery teams, the Solutions Architect works in cross-functional partnership across delivery units to coordinate implementation of outcomes-based delivery methodology practices encompassing the broad Ellucian platform ecosystem that support delivering SaaS at scale and driving faster time to value for customers pursuing SaaS.
Where you will make an impact
- Leading implementation of cross-functional capability-driven service delivery models across the Ellucian solution enterprise recognizing the impact to the customer journey.
- Driving outcomes-based delivery across a given set of customers pursuing SaaS by determining the most appropriate SaaS extensibility mix for the given engagement.
- Leading service solutions sessions, managing capability teams through process mapping and business analysis activities and introducing standards that positively impact customer experience.
- Working collaboratively with the Services team to develop and/or improve strategies, policies and processes; support and promote the use of new delivery methodologies and best practices.
- Supporting project management teams in deciding best course of action for successful client delivery.
- Developing related materials and artifacts that drive and support the new delivery models, including but not limited to new customer-facing capability-based solution architectures, implementation guides, statement of work templates, presentations and internal enablement guides.
- Recognizing and elevating risks – external or internal – associated with new client delivery methodology for executive consideration and mitigation.
- Mentoring new Solution Architect team members on capability-based delivery practices.
- Traversing between strategic and tactical considerations with a continued focus on established goals and scheduled milestones/deadlines.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of Ellucian’s global architecture repository (Global Higher Education Capability Model), which supports the Ellucian implementation methodology principles of proven practice, time to value and outcome driven.
- Facilitating information gathering sessions followed by the composition of a summary of findings followed by the timely construction of related deliverables.
What you will bring
- 5+ years of broad Ellucian solution delivery at Higher Education institutions in the U.S.
- In-depth knowledge of the Ellucian ERP delivery practice with demonstrated understanding of the role the ERP plays in the broader Ellucian solution landscape.
- Current working knowledge of Ellucian extensibility tools is a plus.
- Positive, self-motivated, team-oriented individual with the ability and desire to innovate, create, and develop delivery methodologies that have the capability of transforming the effectiveness of Higher Education.
- Ability to develop detailed implementation plans based on capability-driven delivery methodologies.
- Exceptional relationship building skills supported by proven action and follow-through using strong time and project management skills.
- Superior interpersonal, written and oral communications skills with an emphasis on collaboration.
