POSITION SALARY RANGE: $50,500 - $118,050 per year

SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION:
Plans instruction and assessment aligned with District learner outcomes and State achievement standards. Supervises assigned students and maintains a positive learning environment. Adapt instruction to meet the individual learning needs of all students resulting in an increased probability of advancing their achievement. Primary professional efforts are directed toward the development and success of their individual professional goals and specifically towards instructional improvement and the development of expertise in all areas of instruction. Maintain positive inter-personal relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members.

ESSENTIAL JOB ELEMENTS:
1. Teach the approved Eagle County School's curriculum.
2. Participate in cluster group meetings focusing on student learning and individual growth goals/goals.
3. Participate in the development and enhancement of a school-wide culture that promotes professional growth and student learning.
4. Provide support and knowledge that inspires and encourages the professional growth of teachers at the cluster group meeting and school-wide as resources are utilized for the enhancement of student learning.
5. Contribute to the professional development of other teachers including but not limited to modeling the use and application of best practices, and peer support with lesson planning and designing consistent with state standards and district goals.
6. Plan standards based learning, including selection of content, instructional strategies, and assessments, appropriate for all learners and aligned with District outcomes.
7. Teach to an identified learning objective, presents content accurately, implements a variety of instructional strategies, checks frequently for student understanding, and monitors student progress.
8. Adapt instruction to meet the learning needs of all students thus increasing the probability of advancing their achievement.
9. Promote and maintain student behavior expectations conducive to learning and maximizing learning time.
10. Establish and demonstrate positive human relations with students, parents, other staff members, and the community.
11. Maintain an ongoing program of professional growth that meets District requirements and expectations and personal professional goals.
12. Contribute to the decisions made by the District and School regarding school student achievement goals, budget, facility allocation, curriculum revision, and extra-curricular activities.
13. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, confidentiality, and security of all student information.
14. Comply with District and School policies and procedures.
15. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's degree required.
2. Does possess or is willing to access the CTE credential related to the CTE content area.
3. Active teacher authorization or license issued by the State of Colorado.
4. Must be "Highly Qualified" according to the Colorado's definition of a "Highly Qualified"
5. Endorsement in the area(s) of teaching assignment preferred.
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Effective time management and organizational skills.
