Position Summary:
This position may be responsible for teaching the following subjects: Economics/Finance, Introduction to Business, Business Management.
Duties:
Requirements: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business or Social Studies with a teaching certification is preferred. Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a Colorado Teaching License. The Weld Re-9 School District is willing to work with candidates to provide alternative pathways to the classroom including alternative teacher licensure programs (bachelors degree in any field required), adjunct authorizations (5+ years of work experience in the field the candidate will teach), and emergency or teacher of record authorizations (for individuals currently enrolled in a teacher preparation program). Salary and Benefits: Salary range is $44,300-$58,100 per year AS OF THE TIME OF THIS POSTING (SALARY SCHEDULES UPDATED IN LATE SPRING), depending on education, years of teaching experience, and professional development credits. See the Certified Salary Schedule under the Employment Opportunities tab. The district provides health insurance benefits including dental and vision, PERA retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability, an optional supplemental 401(k) plan, an employee assistance plan, a tuition reimbursement program, and the ability to enroll in supplemental insurances and savings accounts through a third-party vendor. - Planning the curriculum and instruction of social studies and business classes
- Monitor and evaluate student progress
- Prepare educational records and reports
- Sponsor the FBLA Chapter
- Sponsor student related groups and activities as assigned
- Extra-duty activities as assigned
