As Social Media Specialist, you are responsible for the creation of consistent and engaging video content across all U-Haul's owned Social Media channels to increase product and services awareness and brand consistency.
Responsibilities
- Strategizing, developing, and editing content output on Social Media channels, aligned with overarching company goals (short-term and long-term).
- Develop creative and compelling content that aligns with the brand messaging and goals.
- Plan and write scripts for videos, ensuring a clear and engaging narrative that resonates with the target audience.
- Record high-quality videos using appropriate equipment and techniques. This may involve shooting on-location, at the center or dealers or in a studio.
- Edit content and videos to enhance visual appeal, coherence, and overall quality. This includes adding graphics, music, and special effects as needed.
- Implementing external content plans and editorial calendar to support engagement.
- Supporting content strategy on U-Haul Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, and LinkedIn channels.
- Supporting existing programs and assisting in the development and implementation of new, innovative initiatives to drive conversions.
- Sourcing user-generated content (UGC) across all existing Social Media platforms for official U-Haul channels to repost.
- Tracking Reels, TikTok's, YouTube, and Shorts metrics and success, produce AB tests, and suggestions for new video content based on data driven results.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of professional experience in Social Media management, preferably in a similar industry/working for innovative brands with mass market appeal, or equivalent.
- Tailor content for specific Social Media platforms, considering each platform's requirements, algorithms, and audience preferences.
- Should have content video creation expertise on TikTok, Meta and YouTube.
- Basic understanding of design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, or equivalent to ensure visual appeal.
- Ability to strategize, develop, and edit engaging content that aligns with the U-Haul brand, specifically on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, Snapchat, and LinkedIn.
- Experience collaborating with copywriters, videographers, designers, and cross-functional teams to create visually appealing content.
- Ability to manage and track multiple ongoing projects simultaneously.
- A high degree of ownership and responsibility towards the brand's voice and image.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with flexibility to adapt to fast-paced changes/dynamic work environment.
- Familiarity with U-Hauls products and services and brand image would be a plus.
